Ask: Quel temps fait-il ? (What is the weather like?)
- With il fait: Il fait beau (nice), Il fait chaud (hot), Il fait froid (cold), Il fait frais (cool), Il fait mauvais (bad weather).
- With other verbs: Il pleut (it rains), Il neige (it snows), Il y a du vent (it's windy), Il y a des nuages (it's cloudy).
- Seasons: le printemps (spring), l'été (summer), l'automne (fall), l'hiver (winter).
- "In" a season: au printemps, en été, en automne, en hiver.
- Example: En hiver, il neige et il fait froid.

Printemps is the only season that uses au. The others use en.
