Direct and indirect object pronouns
| Type | Pronouns | Replaces |
|---|---|---|
| Direct | me, te, le/la (l'), nous, vous, les | a thing or person with no preposition |

- Y replaces à + place or thing: Il va au parc. → Il y va.
- En replaces de + noun, du/de la/des + noun, or a quantity: Elle mange des fruits. → Elle en mange. J'ai deux frères. → J'en ai deux.
Placement
- Before the conjugated verb: Je le vois. Negative: Je ne le vois pas.
- Before an infinitive: Je vais le voir.
