Notes
School vocabulary
- Classes: las matemáticas, las ciencias, la historia, el inglés, el arte, la educación física.
- Supplies: el lápiz, el bolígrafo, el cuaderno, la carpeta, la mochila, la calculadora, la regla.
- Periods use ordinals: primera, segunda, tercera hora. Opinions agree: La clase es divertida.
Regular -ar verbs
- Drop -ar and add -o, -as, -a, -amos, -áis, -an.

- One present-tense form covers "I speak," "I am speaking" and "I do speak."
Negation
- no goes right before the verb. No, no estudio. Double negatives are normal: No escucho nada.
Questions
- Invert subject and verb, raise your voice, or add ¿verdad? / ¿no?
- Question words have accents: ¿qué, quién, dónde, cuándo, por qué, cuántos, cómo? Porque = because.
