Spanish 1 / Unit 2: Numbers, Dates and Time
2.2 Numbers 31 to 100
Notes
From 31 on, numbers are written as tens y ones, in three words.
| Spanish | English |
|---|---|
| treinta | 30 |
| cuarenta | 40 |
| cincuenta | 50 |
| sesenta | 60 |
| setenta | 70 |
| ochenta | 80 |
| noventa | 90 |
| cien | 100 |
- 31 = treinta y uno, 45 = cuarenta y cinco, 99 = noventa y nueve.
- Don't mix up sesenta (60) and setenta (70): seis → sesenta, siete → setenta.
- Uno becomes un before a masculine noun and una before a feminine noun: treinta y un chicos, veintiuna chicas.
