Spanish 2 / Unit 1: Review: Present Tense and Daily Routine
1.4 Reflexive Verbs
Notes
Reflexive verbs show that the subject does the action to itself. They use the pronouns me, te, se, nos, se before the conjugated verb.
| Subject | Pronoun | levantarse |
|---|---|---|
| yo | me | me levanto |
| tú | te | te levantas |
| él / ella | se | se levanta |
| nosotros | nos | nos levantamos |
| ellos | se | se levantan |
- With an infinitive, the pronoun can attach to it or go before the main verb: Voy a ducharme / Me voy a duchar.
- Use el / la / los / las (not mi, tu) with body parts and clothing: Me lavo las manos.
- Example: Mi hermano se cepilla los dientes.
