3.3 Irregular Stems: hacer, querer, venir
Notes
These verbs have an i in the stem.

- Hizo is spelled with z so that it keeps the "s" sound.
- Endings: -e, -iste, -o, -imos, -ieron (no accents).
- Example: Ella hizo la tarea y nosotros vinimos temprano.
Practice
Ella ___ (hacer) la cena anoche.
The él / ella form of hacer is hizo (z, not c).
Nosotros ___ (venir) a la fiesta a las siete.
Venir has the stem vin- plus -imos.
Yo no ___ (querer) ir a la fiesta.
The yo form of querer is quise.
