Notes
- Arithmetic: add the same common difference $d$: $a_n=a_0+dn$.
- Geometric: multiply by the same common ratio $r$: $g_n=g_0r^n$.
Practice
4, 7, 10, 13, … The common difference:
Each term adds 3.
2, 6, 18, 54, … The next term:
Ratio 3.
$a_0=5$, $d=-2$. Then $a_{10}=$
$5+(-2)(10)$.
