Family vocabulary
- padre, madre, padres, hermano/a, hijo/a, esposo/a, abuelo/a, tío/a, primo/a, sobrino/a, nieto/a.
- Masculine plurals can include both genders: los padres (parents), los hermanos (siblings), los primos (cousins).
- Pets: el perro, el gato, el pájaro, el pez.
Possession

- Possessives agree with the thing owned. Nuestra madre, nuestros padres.
- de shows ownership: el gato de Ana, la casa del profesor. Ask ¿De quién es?
Describing family and ages
- ser for traits, tener for hair, eyes and age. Es alta. Tiene los ojos azules. Tiene doce años.
- mayor (older), menor (younger). ¿Cuántos años tienes? Use un before años: veintiún años.

Use de + owner; mis blocks the contraction.
Ten is younger than thirteen, so she is menor.
