10.2 Forming the Present Subjunctive
Notes
Take the yo form of the present, drop the -o, and add the opposite ending.

- Verbs with an irregular yo form keep it: tengo → tenga, hago → haga, salgo → salga, conozco → conozca.
- These are the same forms as usted / ustedes commands and negative tú commands.
Practice
Complete: "Quiero que tú ___ (comer) más verduras."
Take como, drop -o, add -as.
Complete: "Mis padres quieren que yo ___ (hablar) español."
Take hablo, drop -o, add -e.
Complete: "La profesora pide que ellos ___ (escribir) un ensayo."
Take escribo, drop -o, add -an.
