Notes
Ways to talk about the future
- Ir a + infinitive: Voy a viajar mañana.
- Simple future: whole infinitive + é, ás, á, emos, án: hablaré, comerás, vivirá, escribiremos, saldrán.
- Irregular future stems: tendr-, podr-, pondr-, saldr-, vendr-, har-, dir-, querr-, sabr-, habr-.
The conditional ("would")
- Whole infinitive + ía, ías, ía, íamos, ían; the same irregular stems: tendría, haría, diría.
- Uses: polite requests (¿Podrías ayudarme?), advice (Yo estudiaría más), hypothetical situations (Con dinero, viajaría), future from the past (Dijo que vendría).
Si clauses
- Possible condition: si + present, + future: Si estudias, aprobarás.
