Notes

Forms

  • Direct (what/whom): me, te, lo, la, nos, os, los, las. Indirect (to/for whom): me, te, le, nos, os, les.
  • Lo / la / los / las agree with the noun replaced; le / les do not show gender.

Placement

  • Before a conjugated verb (Lo veo. No lo veo.) or attached to an infinitive or gerund (Voy a verlo. Estoy leyéndolo.).
  • Add a written accent when attaching to keep the stress.

Double object pronouns

  • Order: indirect, then direct (Me lo da. Te las mando.).
  • Le / les + lo / la / los / las → se lo / la / los / las: Se lo doy a Marta. Clarify se with a + person.
  • Verbs like gustar use indirect objects: Me gustan los tacos. A ellos les encanta el arte.
